Key Stage 2

Welcome to Key Stage 2 Class!
Key Stage 2 are taught by Mrs Elvy on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday and Mr Steward on a Wednesday and Thursday.
Although KS2 form one class we have three separate learning spaces which we use very flexibly throughout our school day. In addition to this we try and learn out and about as much as possible. We have opportunities to learn alongside pupils from Tregony Community Primary School and The Roseland Academy. This is great for sharing ideas, meeting new friends as well as preparing us early for transition.
We all go on a residential once a year when we can further our independence and challenge ourselves as well as learning new skills.
In the Autumn Term Years 3 & 4 work towards National Curriculum swimming expectations at Trewince Pool while Years 5 & 6 learn kayaking and paddle boarding skills on Percuil River.
We are continuing on Growth Mindsets and always try to learn as "Supersonic".
All pupils are required to read at home at least 15 minutes every weekday minimum a week as part of the Reading Karate scheme. Further information will be shared at the beginning of the term.
• Spellings and number homework will also be given in addition to termly Curriculum tasks linked to the current topic.
• Once an Academic Year, Key Stage 2 have a Residential Camp within Cornwall.
A painting/art apron to be kept in school (a large old shirt is perfect)
