Parental Information
We take pride in our students looking smart whilst representing Gerrans School.
All new pupils are issued with a red book bag.
Please ensure that all uniform is clearly labelled.
Our School Dress Code:
• School sweatshirt
• Grey/black trousers
• Grey/black skirt
• Grey/black pinafore dress
• White polo shirt
• Plain black/grey tights
• Sensible black school shoes (trainers are not permitted)
All students are expected to bring with them a waterproof coat.
At Gerrans School, we spend a considerable time learning in our outdoor environment in all weathers. A spare pair of wellies that are kept in school in strongly recommended.
During the Summer months we also allow:
• Grey/black shorts
• Red and white gingham dress
• A sunhat
Jewellery and Hair Styles
If your child has pierced ears then one pair of studs may be worn except on PE days.
A watch may be worn( not for PE), but in the interest of health and safety no other jewellery may be worn in school.
Hair should be of natural colouring and tied back if longer than shoulder length. Extreme hair styles are not in keeping with school uniform, please refrain from encouraging your child to have this during term time.
PE Kit:
• Black shorts and plain white T-shirt
• Black pumps
• Black trainers are permitted for Key Stage 2 students
• A warm tracksuit for the colder weather
Our Parent Support Advisor, Lyn Bell, is here to help provide a seamless link between home and school that promotes a postitive attitude towards education.

We are very lucky to have an active PTA group. They organise events through out the year for the children and the monies raised are used for the benefit of every child here at Gerrans School.
Our Chair is Robyn Taffinder, our Treasurer is Claire Emmett and our Secretary is Livy Toms.
